There was something special about the Children's Day celebration in Gillco International School Mohali this year. Every nook and corner of the school was abuzz with the happy presence and excited chatter of the students after a period of one and a half years.A special assembly to celebrate childhood was organised for classes 1-12 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. This was followed by an evocative Nukkad Natak presentation by the students of Classes 8,9 and 11 on the pertinent issue of mental health among the youth, particularly the schoolchildren during the pandemic, aptly titled ' Time to talk, time to take control'. Teachers donned the mantle of children by putting up an entertaining medley of music and dance for the students. The programme ended on a sweet note with chocolates being distributed to all the students.
