    Code Of Conduct & Discipline

    One of the most popular CBSE affiliated schools in Kharar, GIS believes that all students have the right to an educational environment conducive to learning and safe from physical and psychological abuse. No student will be allowed to disrupt this process and/or interfere with the rights of others. We expect students to exhibit responsible behaviour. Discipline is what has made us one of the best CBSE schools in Kharar. Therefore, parents are requested to extend their fullest cooperation as well.

    The Discipline Policy is designed to:
    • Hold students accountable for their actions.
    • Promote more responsible behavior through logical consequences.
    • Ensure due process and progressive discipline.
    Expectations from Students:
    • Treat each other and adults with respect and courtesy.
    • Show respect for the buildings and campus.
    • Conduct themselves in an orderly and purposeful manner.
    • Use language and behavior appropriate to a school setting.
    IMPORTANT

    Unlawful or inappropriate behavior during school hours, on the school premises, or at school sponsored events, is prohibited.

    The following constitute inappropriate behaviour:
    • Failure to follow reasonable directions of the school personnel
    • Show insubordination
    • Disrupt classes
    • Defiance of authority
    • Disrespect to the school staff, fellow students, and visitors
    • Refusing to identify self or others
    • Demonstrating aggression, vulgar language, or indecent gestures towards an adult or another student in school
    • Disrespect to religious beliefs
    • Excessive Public Display of Affection (PDA)
    • Theft
    • Aggression/Harassment, which may be described as but is not limited to:
      1. Unlawful threat (verbal or physical)
      2. Attempt to do physical harm to another person(s)
      3. Fighting, intimidation, bullying, and ragging
    • Forgery
      1. Interfering with documents or communication between school and home, i.e. forging parent signatures
      2. Intercepting reports, trip requests etc.
    • Truancy
      1. Bunking School
      2. Bunking Classes
