The sacrifices of the sons of the 10th Sikh guru Guru Gobind Singh—Sahibzada Ajit Singh ji, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh ji, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh ji, and Sahibzada Fateh Singh ji along with their Grandmother Mata Gujar Kaur ji is an important and integral part our history. The occasion of their martyrdom is remembered, and commemorated both with great vigour and very acute sadness. The students and faculty of Gillco International School Mohali, gathered in a special assembly to respect and pay tribute to the great sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh ji and his family. The ceremony started with the chanting of holy Mool Mantra followed by a Shabad by the school choir. Students volunteered in singing the tales of bravery, valour and sacrifice of Chaar Sahibzaade along with the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The educators of GIS also sang a shabad to commemorate the holy occasion. All the members of the GIS Family (student, faculty & support staff) also contributed in donating dry food items being collected for langar seva in the Gurudwara.
