At GIS, we harness 21st century skills of students through a holistic approach to enable them to make informed career decisions. Free psychometric assessments are provided to students from grades 10th to 12th to help them chalk out their best career paths and subject combinations based on the Personality, Interest, Career Motivators, Skills & Abilities. Four step process comprising of assessment, report inference, on-on-one counseling, and implementation of actionplan is followed for each student.
Tarun Gupta is a Certified Global Career Counsellor from UCLA as well as International Certified Career Coach (Foundation/Advance/Master/CCSP) from MINDLER/CDA/NCDA. He is a Green Belt Certified in Career Counselling, and also has Premium Overseas Admission Specialization certified from UNIVARIETY. Tarun is also a Certified Career Analyst from Edumilestones as well as Certified Career Counselor from Career Guide. He has been guiding Engineering and Medical students for almost a decade. He has also taught MBA students as well as Engineering Students at Chitkara University in the capacity of visiting Professor in the subjects like Operations Research, Business Statistics, Managerial Economics and Supply Chain Management.
He is an Alumnus of YPS Patiala and is a pass out from PEC Chandigarh in Mechanical Engineering (1990) coupled with MBA in Operations Management. He is also Global SCM (Supply Chain Management) certified from IIFT New Delhi. He has three decades of experience in Telecom Industry including PUNCOM, AIRTEL, VODAFONE, AIRCEL and TATA DOCOMO in the field of Operations and Supply Chain Management. He has been the North India Supply Chain Management Head for both for AIRCEL and TATA DOCOMO in his last two assignments.

Various MOUs have been signed at International Level as well as at National level to support our students in securing admissions into good institutes after their K12 education, and also to help them with patent filing, experiential learning, project-based learning as well as Internships/workshops while they are in grades 8th to 12th.
Our school received a Letter of Association with IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorials, first of its kind in the Region and so many students from 6th to 12th grades participated for these certificate programs in all major subjects.
I am happy to share that in a year, GIS was ranked #1 in Punjab and #10 in India as per Education World Career Counseling Rankings – 2021, in recognition of our Career Counseling initiatives. In the new Academic year also, we have organized a Mega Career Fair comprising of more than 45 Universities across the world. We were once again bestowed with “Career Changemakers 2022 Award” taking into consideration our Career counseling initiatives by Career Guide (a leading Career Counseling organization of the country).
